Intrepidi

The word means “Fearless” in Latin. Lately that is something I’ve been trying to work into my approach and outlook on life. But how is it that you can go about your life being perfectly happy, and in a heartbeat, all it takes is for one person to come into your life and turn everything upside down..? Now that is something that scares me shitless every time, no matter how many times it happens or what approach I take. I suppose you can’t really decide who you fall for or when you fall for them. And to be fair, if you happen to meet someone who is everything you’re looking for, you’d be an idiot to pass on an opportunity that rare. Irregardless of whether the timing is bad or not. And you try to keep your head cool, keep your distance but when it all clicks, you can’t always help yourself. But how do you make the best of something that has an expiry date?

They manage to put a smile on your face and make you feel things, want to share things, that you didn’t think you were going be ready to share again for quite a while or perhaps ever. And you finally, somehow, begin to heal from the last time you were cut deep. And the person who last stomped on your heart, finally begins to be less sigificant- to be replaced by someone else. The possibilities are endless. And everything you know goes out the window. I refuse to believe we meet people by accident, I believe that on our travels, those people were meant to cross our path sooner or later for a reason. It’s life’s way of trying to teach you another valuable lesson. Now I just need to figure out, why did You cross my path?
